New Year Message

Dearest Beloveds,

My very best wishes to all for a very prosperous and happy new year.  May all your heart wishes become a reality.  Last year was a wonderful year for me in many fronts.  These gifts ranged from the teaching that’s taking place in me, which is showing me that I need to continue to look at to heal wounds about my own relationship with my own duality, to the Toltec Teaching growing in Mexico.

I want to thank you for your support to the teaching, which by the way seems to be transforming into something very beautiful.  Thank you for helping me give it structure as I feel it coming together in me.  Thank you also for your participation, it gives me assurance that what I’m personally doing for my self, also touches what we teach. 

I'm learning more and more that when you “live” the teaching, it has its challenges, and it’s really asking Spirit to heal what is not; and consequently, Spirit brings in what's needed, your next step. 

What’s my next step?  Well, to move back to the states to supervise the care for my 94-year mother for hopefully a couple of months.  I've elected, with the help of many, to close my home here in Mexico and put weekly therapy, here in Leon and Guanajuato, on hold for as long as needed.  I plan to do a workshop every two to three months here in Mexico, and continue my Europe teaching trips as planned.  Mariana Torres, my assistant, will remain here in Guanajuato and carry on with what’s needed in organizing the Teotihuacan journeys, workshops, private sessions when I’m here as well as keeping everyone informed on any new developments.

I feel that I really need to do this not only for my mother but also for me.  I’ll see what I can do to help her to be as comfortable as possible as well as giving me an opportunity to look at what has developed in me brought about my own domestication process. 

I see this as an opportunity to look past my wounds to heal emotional challenges, starting with my first teacher, my mother, and consequently connection to woman out side of me, is very welcomed.  Coming to Mexico, has thought me how to be more flexible and flowing with life and it looks like Spirit is asking me to take another plunge deeper into the "unknown," the un-controllable.

I would like to share a recent quote from one of our students/apprentice from Ireland as he passes on his wisdom reference this teaching:

"I love the way the teaching reveals itself.  The next page is absolutely un-guessable.  I can sense something of your dilemma in encapsulating it into a transmittable form.  If it is of any value to you in obtaining some perspective into what you do from the receiving end, I’ll try to express how it comes across to me.  For me, you personally are not really doing the teaching.  More so, than in anyone else I have ever encountered, the teaching is doing YOU.  No matter how hard you try to control it, shape it or structure it, it happens, perfectly regardless of the circumstances.  While some of your basic philosophy is clearly and concisely structured, every course is unique.  The philosophy grows and changes, the people are different, the time duration is different, locations vary, circumstances vary, and your energy varies.  However, the teaching is consistent.  It is always new, fresh, totally unexpected and far beyond the bounds of predictability.  The real teaching is in the realizations, the revelations that occur in the hearts of your students and in yours too.  You do not control that.  However, you very effectively open the door for Grace to come into and be active in the lives you touch, and also in your own."

My sense is that when the student opens to receive the teaching, magic happens.  It feels like another step closer to freedom.  This may also be happening to you and in your own way, congratulations, my best wishes to you on this journey of heart.
